We are keeping an eye on COVID crisis, but in the mean time we are scheduled to open May 14, 2020. We will most likely have to delay our open date until June 4 like all other hotels in Jasper.

Sunwapta is a semi-remote Mountain Lodge located 53km south of downtown Jasper. It’s a very unique experience in that all 45 of our staff live on property in inexpensive staff housing (under $150/m). There is an unparalleled sense of family.

Lodge Housekeeper: Job Brief
- The Lodge Housekeeper position is part of a seven person team including Housekeeping Supervisor, four Housekeepers, Room Checker and a Laundry attendant.
- Each position has its own duties however each position must be willing to be trained to cover any other maintenance position for any length of time depending on scheduling.
- The lodge is a very busy remote location and the cabins are outside so there is a lot of walking each day
Responsibilities and Duties
- The Housekeepers are responsible for cleaning the guest rooms daily,
- Housekeepers work closely with the Room Checker to assure the clean rooms are guest ready
- Keeping your cart stocked and ready
- Keeping the section storeroom stocked
- Reporting to the Supervisor all room status changes to be communicated to the Desk
- Reporting to the Room Checker any room deficiencies to be pass to maintenance or a manager
- Helping with Laundry or Room Checking as needed
- Cleaning the washrooms in the lodge
- Light duty cleaning in other areas of the lodge as needed and requested by the Supervisor
Qualifications and Skills
- Willingness to work outside especially in a cabin style section.
- No experience necessary we will train
- Desire to learn all positions in the Housekeeping department
- Able to work alone and efficiently to a high standard
- You take pride in a job well done
- Understand the impact of guest interactions on all of us.
