Smitty's Family Restaurant is in the heart of beautiful Jasper, Alberta. We are a top 40 Alberta Business of Distinction 2014. Our friendly team is highly efficient in providing excellent service to high volumes of patrons in a fast paced, full serviced casual dining experience with 120 seating. The menu has extensive all-day choices for the whole family. Current menu is posted on the Smitty's Canada web site at www.smittys.ca . Applicants must be energetic, organized, detail oriented, an effective communicator and reliable. Experience an asset. However, we provide an excellent training program and a fun, respectful working environment with a diverse work force. Summer Positions and wages (regular term: May to September/October, 2018)
Cooks - $15 to $20 per hour depending on experience and ability, share of tips, meal privileges, subsidized housing, some high school, must speak, read and write English, 2 or more years commercial cooking experience.
Kitchen Helpers - $13.60 to $14.60 per hour, small share of tips at the end of summer, meal privileges, subsidized housing, no experience necessary. Promotion opportunity to cook and wage increases as one progress. Starting wage for cook trainees is $14 - $14.60/hour.
Food and Beverage Servers - $13.60/hour + tips
Hostess/Cashier - $14/hour + tips
Floor Manager Assistant - $14/hour + tips. It is an internship program. Ideal for candidates in Hospitality or Tourism Studies, and willing to learn all aspects of the front of house operations and some understanding of the back of house procedures. This can give you an idea of what and how it is to run a full-service food establishment. You will learn the restaurant operations, procedures required following regulations, health and safety rules, payroll procedures, customer service procedures, point of sales system, and management procedures. Your will assist the Managers in every aspect of his and her jobs, and everyone in the front of house. Hand in resume + cover letter and references to Marianne, or e-mail us.
