Salary: $8.00 to $13.00 Hourly for 40 hours per week, Bonus

Skill Requirements:

Education: Some college/CEGEP/vocational or technical training

Credentials (certificates, licences, memberships, courses, etc.): Cook Trade Certification

Experience: 3 - 5 years

Languages: Speak English, Read English, Write English

Cook Categories: Cook (general), Line cook

Work Setting: Restaurant, Hotel

Cuisine Specialties: International, European

Food Preparation Specializations: Stocks, soups and sauces, Eggs and dairy, Cold kitchen (salads, appetizers, sandwiches), Vegetables, fruits, nuts and mushrooms, Meat, Poultry, Pasta, Fish, Seafood

Types of Meals/Food Prepared: Breakfasts, Dinners, Buffet

Specific Skills: Prepare and cook full course meals, Prepare and cook individual dishes and foods, Ensure quality of food and determine size of food proportions, Prepare dishes for customers with food allergies or intolerances, Work with specialized cooking equipment (deep fryer, etc.), Clean kitchen and work areas, Wash dishes

Work Location Information: Staff accommodation available, Rural community

Security and Safety: Criminal record check (abstract)

Essential Skills: Reading text, Oral communication, Working with others, Problem solving, Job task planning and organizing

Other Information: Our menu is not complicated but everything is made from scratch so experience is required. No deep fryer. Preparation of soups and sauces and all menu items is required.
