Job Title: Food preparer (Short order cook)

Terms of Employment: Seasonal, Full Time, Day, Evening

Salary: $14.00 to $16.00 Hourly for 44 hours per week, Bonus, Gratuities, Other Benefits

Credentials (certificates, licences, memberships, courses, etc.): WHMIS, 
Food Safe Certificate


Experience: 2 years to less than 3 years


Languages: Speak English, Read English, Write English


Type of Equipment: Deep fryer, Grill


Work Setting: Restaurant, Resort


Counter Attendant and Food Preparer Skills: Prepare, heat and finish simple food 
items, Use manual and electrical appliances to clean, peel, slice and trim foodstuffs,
 Portion and wrap foods, Package take-out food, Stock refrigerators and salad bars


Kitchen Helping Skills: Wash, peel and cut vegetables and fruit, Clean and sanitize
 kitchen including work surfaces, cupboards, storage areas, appliances and equipment, 
 Receive, unpack and store supplies in refrigerators, freezers, cupboards and other
  storage areas, Remove kitchen garbage and trash, Handle and store cleaning
   products, Sweep and mop floors


Dishwashing Skills: Operate dishwashers to wash dishes, glassware and flatware, 
Sanitize and wash dishes and other items by hand, Scour pots and pans, Operate 
pot-washing machines, Clean and sanitize items such as dishwasher mats, carts 
and waste disposal units


Weight Handling: Up to 13.5 kg (30 lbs)


Security and Safety: Bondable


Transportation/Travel Information: Public transportation is not available


Work Location Information: Staff accommodation provided


Essential Skills: Oral communication, Working with others, Job task planning and 
organizing, Significant use of memory
