Job Title: Assistant manager - retail

Salary: $1,920.00 to $2,400.00 Monthly for 44 
hours per week, As per collective agreement

Skill Requirements:
Education: Completion of high school, Some 
college/CEGEP/vocational or technical training, 
Completion of college/CEGEP/vocational or 
technical training, Some university
Experience: 1 - 2 years
Languages: Speak English, Speak French, Read 
English, Read French, Write English, Japanese, 
Spanish
Work Setting: Art gallery, Gift shop, Jewellery 
store, Leather goods store, Shoe store, Family 
clothing store, Men's clothing store, Women's 
clothing store, Children's clothing store
Business Equipment and Computer Applications: 
Point of sale system, Basic computer skills 
(will train), Internet competency
Staff Responsibility: 1 - 20
Specific Skills: Manage staff and assign duties, 
Determine merchandise and services to be sold, 
Implement price and credits policies, Balance 
daily transactions, Recruit and train staff, 
Prepare reports regarding sales volumes, 
merchandising and personnel matters, Resolve 
problems that arise, such as customer complaints 
and supply shortages, Customer service oriented
Security and Safety: Bondable, Basic security 
clearance, Enhanced reliability security 
clearance, Criminal record check, Driver's 
validity licence check
Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities: 
Fast-paced environment, Attention to detail, 
Combination of sitting, standing, walking, 
Standing for extended periods
Transportation/Travel Information: Valid 
driver's licence, Travel expenses paid by
